 Hanthana Range 

Introduction_ _

The Hanthana mountain range Lise in central Sri Lanka south west of the city of Kandy. It was declared as an environmental protection area in February 2010 under the National environment ACT. 

*The maximum height of the range is 3800 ft. The mountain range consists of seven peaks. The highest one being the Uura Kanda . 
 
*The range is a favorite destination among the mountain hikers in Sri Lanka. University of Peradeniya is situated adjacent to the Hanthana mountain range.

According to the above facts Mount Hanthana is a well known place in Sri Lanka as well as in the world. It is also one of the most beautiful place I have ever met in my life.

I first went to see the Hanthana mountain range when I was 17 years old. The trip with those friends was a lot of fun. 
That day we pitched tents there and had a lot of  fun singing.It was a very rainy day so we went up the hill we saw more beautiful surroundings.


And I’ve been here twice to experience the beauty. I ‘m really glad to see a beautiful place like this .
